I am honored to be able to speak tomorrow and share my testimony. I grew up during a time in the church when the older, seasoned women would get up and share their testimonies on Sunday morning. Sometimes we wouldn’t even make it to the sermon. I didn’t understand it then but I understand it now. Revelations 12: 11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…” We are the “they”. I have spent the past week meditating on the theme, I’m a survivor. And one of my favorite scriptures, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. I am so grateful that after all the trouble and complication of life, I can say that I not only survived but He changed me.
