Day 14 – Under Promise, Over Deliver

“Under Promise, Over Deliver” is a business principle I learned when I started working in various customer service positions. In banking, we always let the customer know that it would take 7 – 10 business days to receive their debit card, checks, etc. When a customer received it in 3 – 5 days, we became their hero.

Nowadays we are sending a message that if you do this you’ll get that. Or if you give this much, you’ll get even more back. You know that message; we have labeled it as the “Prosperity Message”. “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18. Grace, God’s unmerited favor; undeserving mercy; redemptive; justifiable.

If he doesn’t do anything else he has done more than enough. “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” Ephesians 2:5 Tomorrow is not promised, so when you wake up each morning, God has already over delivered.
